Dragon Ball Super Why are there still dinosaurs?

Beerus said he destroyed them. He said he spared the planet though.
Maybe this is different in the dubbed version and might not even be in the manga (not sure) but I am wondering about this now.



If this is the case and he did destroy them, why are there still clearly dinosaurs roaming the earth?

I think he just wiped out certain species of dinosaurs, not all of the dinosaurs. After all, he did say "I wiped out some dinosaurs with attitude problems.".

Saying he spared their world implies he destroyed all of them though which is what is confusing.

Well, Dinosaurs are still alive in the real world today in the form of Birds and Alligators/Crocodiles... LOL.

It's possible Toriyama forgot he put Dinosaurs in the present time of Dragon Ball.

I wouldn't put it past being Toriyama's Animealzheimers striking again, it's certainly possible.
