Dragon Ball Z Why do so many American Dragon Ball fans hate the Majin Buu Saga so much?

Ahh ok. Yeah, I'm not debating your opinion, was just giving mine. I also liked the part where he let him lose himself a little to Babidi in order to gain more power. To me, that little story was interesting.

LOL same thing. A man-child with access to a nuclear arsenal...and a blob-child with access to something worse and more powerful.

Well...maybe not. He really doesn't have much of a personality. There's really not much to him other than, "I'm big strong".

That is cool, man.

In short, basically why I didn't find him interesting as well as being all "YoUr AtTaCkS dO nOtHiNg To Me LoL"

Just so you guys know i have not watched the whole saga. buu's just like Zen-chan (Zeno) get him mad you die if ya got buu that mad. i really like gotenks i think its funny how arrogant he is and stupid, makes it funny. and i know not that much people like mr. satan but i thought it was hilarious when he was trying to kill buu and buu was just having fun with it all. theres alotta other stuff but i like the buu saga

Gohan went from being the next protagonist to a joke of himself with the whole "GrEaT sAiYaNmAn", and pretty much made any character development in the Cell Arc redundant. As well several other "Z fighters" just became no one like Yoshi mentioned. Vegeta became the super embodiment of Work Effect, and became a archetype of a stale character. Goten and Trunks I found annoying as hell and Gotenks wasn't any better. There is also SS3 which was intorduced in this arc, but I ain't even touching on that.

Boo as a villain felt boring to me. He was just like Goku...a super powerful being with the mind of child. How I supposed to be more afraid of them compared to Cell, Frezia, Piccolo, etc? The different forms of Buu weren't anything special and in fact remind me of Jiren, who I hate a whole lot.

I don't mind the fact it went back to its roots of comedy, but it was done badly and sort of felt force because of how serious the Cell saga it just didn't feel like a natural evolution. I could give more detail, but I haven't watched the Buu saga since it aired on Toonami way back in the day.

About gohan, toriyama might have made the GSM thing to hype up his return as Ultimate gohan. I do belive that GOHAN should hav stayed the hero of DBZ but then re introduce Goku in Battle of Gods and ROF.

Majin Buu isn't an allegory for anything in the real world. He's meant to represent a pure manifestation of evil that's motivated to destroy. Try not to read into because I assure you Toriyama likes the U.S.

If I recall correctly, Majin Buu is just a typical representation of a djinn (genie) from Arabic lore. Or something like that.

Yeah, he is based on a Dijin, and even the names gave it away/ Bibidi, Babidi, and Buu

That kinda makes MB seem a bit cooler to me, Ive always thought Dijins wre interesting.
