Why haven't we seen the green giant since Dragon Ball?

I don't recall it happening since Dragon Ball where Piccolo used his sizing ability to become a giant. It seems like something that should have happened at least once or twice with "Great Apes" becoming a thing in DBZ. Do you think it was just another thing that was forgotten about? It would have been cool to see a Piccolo take on Gohan (in Ōzaru form) or even Vegeta as a Great Namekian.

Lord Slug did it in the movie, but other than that it's because a useless transformation. Characters too fast and too powerful for it to be anything but a detriment.

Oh yeah, I forgot about him doing it. Still though, they could have done it at least once earlier on in DBZ outside of a movie :disapprove:
 
Piccolo growing in size doesn't actually increase his power. I think that's why.
