Kazuki Takahashi, the Japanese artist who created the beloved manga series Yu-Gi-Oh! has died, aged 60.

According to reports from Japan public broadcaster NHK, Takahashi was discovered floating in shallow waters off the coast of Nago City, Okinawa Island by the Japan Coast Guard on Wednesday morning, June 6. He was wearing snorkeling equipment when found. Police and the Coast Guard are currently investigating the circumstances around Takahashi’s death.

Something about this seems fishy (no pun intended). Like he was in shallow water with snorkeling gear on. Did someone drown him or something?

Soory that im not sad but i didnt even read the manga!
It could be that maybe he was intoxicated and thought he could stay underwater with the snorkling gear u thougfht that as a kid too!
 
I've read the Manga and the Duel Monsters anime was the first anime that I've ever watched. This man's craft was the reason why I was able to get into Egyptian mythology and mythology in general. It's a shame that he passed in such a terrible manner. Rest In Peace, Takahashi Kazuki.

I'm late to this, but this is unfortunate. Yu-Gi-Oh! was a classic.
Same here. I didn't watch enough of Yu-Gi-Oh but it was awesome until the bigger baddies came. The red dragon was the last consumption of the show. The other show ruined it, IMHO.
