The thing is that Gender Revivals have always been around, but it has really only been in the past 5 or so years that they have gotten crazy. I mean, my mom did one for my sister and it was basic as hell. Just a bunch people hanging out, and when the cake was cut it reveled the gender of the baby, but nothing like this insane shit.
Yeah I know. They aren't all bad. It just seems like when they are bad, they are BAD.
My mom's friend's son had one with his wife a year or so ago. They just popped a balloon. Sure, they shared it on facebook (ffs) but at least no one's house caught on fire.
Yeah and it ruins your kid's life in a way as well since you know they will be remembered as "That Kid Whose Parents Set California On Fire"
I know it isn't the kid's fault, all of us here do but you know damn well some people will be blaming the kid.
I hope they name the kid Scorch or Guilty (see, I'll go there!).

Right, but it is the idea of if your parent/s has/have done dumb shit then you are guilty by association more or less. Just like if your mom or dad was a convicted murderer then you would be seen as one as well, which is wrong
