Honestly, I wish Facebook and Twitter were the ones that would be down and we'd be without right now. The world needs a break from screaming. lol
Forget hysteria, I can actually see mass suicides from those addicted to social media if Facebook and Twitter disappeared for good.
It would be sad but it would show how big of a problem there is in the world. For some, social platforms are as bad as drugs.
Agreed, of all the things we could do without, YT is the one we really need...you start out watching videos about one thing, and four hours later you're wondering how you got to watching videos about all girl Japanese metal bands that dress up like nurses...it's the site we all need right now...
Social media addiction is definitely a thing for some, mostly in the younger crowds. It's absolutely mind boggling how dependent some people have become on social media just to get through their day. I'm sure a lot of us would be lost without the internet as a whole if it went away, but for most of us, if social media went bye bye, we'd just carry on as normal, but there are those who don't know other sites exist, and that's terrifying.
De-centralize the web...
I'm guessing it's a hiccup on their end, but given how vast their infrastructure is, it's going to take a bit for them to sort out and fix.
Humanity has become a statistic, I'm afraid. That's why the Internet has been centralized.
Never know. I mean social medis pisses a lot of people off and YouTube, while not quite Facebook, still gets wishy-washy with certain things.
The days when ebaumsworld and YTMND ruled the world, when Google wasn't a verb and forums were the place to go for social interaction...yeah, I remember. Great times.
