Had a baby bunny in the front yard:
We just have regular cottontails here. Saw a few out in the field so went to check on the baby and he was gone. We are assuming either his mom came and got him or he found his way back to the nest. Left the box out there just in case though. We have a colony of Desert Cottontails that live in our neighborhood and come out at night to run around everywhere. Quite sweet, but averse to people.
They look like this guy:
I wish. Soon as they hit like 8 weeks there are completely scared of people. Babies will just sit still hoping not to get eaten. Me and Jay will probably get some yard bunnies when we buy a house, keep a shelter out there for them and just have them hopping all over. lolThat's great, glad he found his way! Who knows, maybe now that he knows you he'll come calling again?
They are super cute and fluffy. Since we plan on doing an outdoor enclosure for the cats, might have it set up so the bunnies can be in there that way they are super safe from the coyotes and foxes around here.Oh if you do that, you've gotta' get some floppy eared bunnies! Love those ones!
Yeah, we have coyotes and valley fever here, so I don't let the cats out, but it'd be nice to give them an outdoor enclosure, they'd love it. Gotta' keep them super safe, they don't need to be worrying about wild animals! They are super cute and fluffy. Only one of our three cats walks on a leash whcih is unfortanate. That is why we want to get the outdoor enclosure built shortly after buying the house. It will be completely enclosed and up against the house as well so they can go in and out as they please but be completely safe.Yeah, we have coyotes and valley fever here, so I don't let the cats out, but it'd be nice to give them an outdoor enclosure, they'd love it. Fully intend on it.Agreed, those are the best types. Catios, so you can be out there and they can too, also a great place to plant lots of catnip plants to occupy them.
I read that as "my brother and I smelted a skunk while driving"...this is why I shouldn't read things at night when I am tiredThis isn’t an animal picture, but my brother and I smelled a skunk while we were driving today.
