This is speculation and rumor, nothing is set in motion as of yet. It would appear though that Disney continuing to bleed money is making it more and more likely that it will be sold off. There are very few companies larger than Disney that could afford to buy it or would want to venture into that market but it would seem that Apple, a 3 trillion dollar company, may be the one to buy it. There are rumors of it being sold off to some middle eastern business tycoon as well but those have seemed to fizzle out.
I don't know what Disney would even look like under Apple. I don't know if they could even save it at this point. The people involved at Disney seem hellbent on ruining everything they own too. It would make more sense to sell off fractions of it. Like selling Star Wars for example. They have done it no favors since buying it.
