Not too long ago, it was legal to own these, servals, and bob cats in Ohio.
I think if you are experienced enough, get approved i.e. have a large outdoor enclosure, food sources, and understanding of the animal along with a vet that can/will be a primary for them these three are acceptable to keep but I don't think people should be "owning" cheetahs or larger cats. Unless it is like some sort of sanctuary.
Few people have the time, money, and space to care for cats like this much less the knowledge of how to handle them.
I think certain dog breeds should need specialty licenses at this point. People are too irresponsible.
Humans need to breed more carnivorous mammals at this point, like different cat species and different dog species, and maybe even different weasel species. Obviously this doesn't include Big Cats like Lions, Tigers, Leopards, and Jaguars, and maybe even Bears.
