So happy for you, fully Miss Jay-AshleyMy surgery was a success, minus I can't feel anything below low, and nothing so far seems wrong or problematic, unless you count "feeling good" as being problematic. And it honestly, felt like it took no time to do it even though it took about 4 hours to do everything. So yeah, I am ready to begin my life now, per say. So I woke up enough to tell everyone that and now I will probably eat and then go back to sleep. Yay drugs!
About 3 weeks in total, but it's a lifelong commitment that comes with it. It's not just a set it and forget it procedure. How long does recovery for something like this take? I know the general concept of what they do but not the process.
Only 3 weeks? I figured it'd be months. Maybe this was the case years ago when they first started.About 3 weeks in total, but it's a lifelong commitment that comes with it. It's not just a set it and forget it procedure.
It can take months with complications, but typically it's 3 weeks and then you start to feel fine and can move forward.Only 3 weeks? I figured it'd be months. Maybe this was the case years ago when they first started.
I have no clue where modern surgery is these days. Most people act like it isn't a big deal anymore I guess because a lot of the risk has been removed thanks to advancements. I'd still be scared shirtless of having anything done lolIt can take months with complications, but typically it's 3 weeks and then you start to feel fine and can move forward.
Same. I don't really like medical professionals unless they have to save life or limb. Everything else seems extraneous to me.I have no clue where modern surgery is these days. Unless I absolutely have to go, I avoid the doctor and the hospital like the plague.Same. I don't really like medical professionals unless they have to save life or limb. Everything else seems extraneous to me.
Oh it's still a big deal, any surgery is still a risk, but there's no question surgeries have indeed come a long way. Night and day from what they used to be even a decade ago.I have no clue where modern surgery is these days. I would be the same, but I've been raised around medicine and hospitals, so I have a different viewpoint on it all. I've had surgeries galore, medicines for life, and so on. So to me it's just a thing you go through.Unless I absolutely have to go, I avoid the doctor and the hospital like the plague.
I guess once you are used to it, it takes a lot of the stress away. I am still uneasy about it. It doesn't help my high school looked like a hospital either.I would be the same, but I've been raised around medicine and hospitals, so I have a different viewpoint on it all.
