Yeah, it shows how the US justice system needs to be redone and reorganized, I guess is the word you could say, because it is broken and is all kinds of crazy. Beyond wild. Things need to be updated, to say the least. Like the amount of lifelong damage you can do to a child deserves way more than 4 years. The fact that people aren't even bringing this stuff up on a larger scale...

It is how the laws and such are written really. Child protection laws, at least in the States, are severely outdated and need to be overhauled. And it also depends on your state whether or not religion played a rule into those laws at a state level.

There are a lot of issues with the internet right now and these "social platforms" but one thing EVERYONE should agree on is that pedophiles should not have the opportunity to have interactions with minors online anywhere. If there is a site that allows people under 18, they should not be able to make accounts on those sites, period.
