Television Futurama is back... for 20 episodes

If they continued it forever like Family Guy or The Simpsons it would be ruined eventually. I’m glad the new content was short but sweet.

Again, today's episode wasn't bad, but a lot of the jokes were "Haha! This is a callback! Remember that?", and the jokes that were at the expense of Leela's outright refusal to accept motherhood or be a good role model were just awfully flat.

I like there's new stuff, and I didn't hate it but... this is turning into Community season 4.

We watched the first episode the other night and liked it. It wasn't classic Futurama but it at least felt like the show.

Bender with a different voice actor isn't going to be Bender. Give the man what he wants!

This one felt a bit more Futurama-y.

I think I've pinpointed one of my gripes. They're falling victim to "HAHAHAHA! GET IT?! That [was] a pop culture reference a few years ago! LAUGH!" - whereas the initial run is timeless and great because - while it did reference "current" events in passing jokes, very little (if any) was predicated on a current event.

I've watched both, but they both struggled to hold my attention, unfortunately.

Parasite Regained was... interesting. A traditional feeling Nibbler episode. But again, already dated cultural references (IT'S DUNE! AND IVERMECTIN! GET IT?!) where everything is just forced.

Like Community Season 4 - it's something to watch, but I would have been just as fine if they hadn't.

GHz: Ya know, the problem with this season is that all the references are already incredibly dated and the jokes aren't going to hold up on their own.

We watched two episodes. It seems like it is very hit and miss. Most of the episodes are just pandering and call back jokes. It seems forced. I don't even know if me and Jay are going to finish watching it.
