Video Games I'm playing...

Nearing the end of FF16. Just received Tears of the Kingdom. Been playing One Piece Odyssey on and off for several months (almost at the end of Arabasta).
Why were people crapping on the game prior to it coming out? I heard that it was going to be one of the biggest titles in years and everyone was all hyped about it and then out of no where people were complaining and throwing it under the bus.
I honestly have no idea. I didn't even know it was a thing until I looked at Steam recently.
People seem to find the need to complain about everything. Maybe we need to focus on the real pandemic, the karen virus.
Such a wasted opportunity. Not sure I'll get it now unless Bethesda makes changes to it.
Seems so. And I've played games like what he's describing... with the "boxed in" feeling.
They basically advertised the game as a game they didn't make. So I would be pissed too. It is like movie trailers that lead you to believe the movie is about something and it has nothing to do with it after you watch it.
haha, or a movie that appears funny in the the trailers, but turns out to be a total bore.
A long time ago, my best friend and I were excited as hell about the movie, "The Master of Disguise". We both loved Dana Carvey and there was one part of the trailer where he goes: "Am I not turtley enough for your turtle club!" Then immediately had him popping his head in and out of his turtle suit like a turtle saying, "Turtle! Turtle!". Had us rolling on the floor.
We go to see the movie in-theatre, and not only was the movie not funny... that clip from the trailer wasn't even in the movie as shown in the clip. He does the first part.... and then the "Turtle turtle!" part was at a completely different time. Totally ruined it.
I remember that movie. I think they do that a lot with comedy movies anymore. Show the funniest parts in the trailer. What is the point of that? lol
I just watched a livestream, and in this livestream... I understand why people don't like it.
- The game looks good, but the game is MADE for Series S. With Series X, the game doesn't even have these upgrades.
- The game is both a walking simulator, and a talking simulator. It has a lot of choices, but nothing "happens." I think the game has a big bad at 30%. These games are enduring.
- Scavenging weapons is stupid. I think Bethesda had a short-sighted idea of collecting items. There's no "stash," like Diablo, where you go to the tent, and stash your weapons. At least from what I saw, there's no stash.
- Docking your ship is confusing. There's no real way to know how to dock. And even if you DO know, the controls are clunky. Sounded like the controls are floaty.
- Not my opinion, but some creators are complaining about the woke themes in Starfield...
