It was standard McDonald's, which isn't saying much (not exactly a fan, but it counts as food, so...). Not underdone or bleeding, but not exceptional, either.
Agreed, been a long, long time since they've been good, and nearly as long since BK was decent (food is ok, fries are garbage).
Fast food went to crap with everything else in the mid 2000's lol
Agreed, plus it went WAY up in price...I remember being able to eat and pay for someone else for less than $10...good ole days, I guess...
Just 15 years ago you could get a full meal, with a large fry, and a shake and it would be under $6. Now they want like $10 for that.
Have you been to a Carl's Jr / Hardees recently? Damn place wants $8 for the SANDWICH! Where do they get off? I love their breakfast burger, but I'm not paying that! Five Guys, as well, though I guess they're not your typical fast food place...so expensive! I don't know why they got so pricey, it's not worth that sort of money!
I don't think we have one close by. Might be one in the airport. We have a Rally's (Checkers) somewhat close. Their prices are up there too but they include fries at least.

Better food, not much more expensive...well worth the investment if you're going out anyway. Agreed, that makes more sense.
Make it a bit more worth it and head for local places to support them. Win-win for everyone!
Oh I absolutely do that when going to restaurants. Got some great local spots around here that are amazing!
Me and Jay went to that local burger place not too long ago and I fully intend on having them again. Put all these chains to shame.
That's usually the way it goes, most definitely. Fresher product, tastier as well, and while often more expensive, it's just something chains can never, ever match.
I had some fries that had gone soggy because they were in a Styrofoam box and...well...that's what happens to them.
After complaining about it, I went and had McD's for dinner again. I played it safe and got nuggets this time. They were good.
