I don't really fit in with either of the stereotypical things these people tend to do, say, and what their styles are. I don't understand most of it. I am curious what the actual differences are, the stereotypical ones, between the two? From where I am sitting, they seem a lot alike. And no offense to either but the "personalities" and typical "traits" are pretty bad. I blame a general loss of culture in the US and the entertainment industry for promoting stupid stuff (bad culture).

Same here, I don't like falling into the "millennial" category just because of the year I was born, I have nothing in common with those whom fit that label. I maintain those born in the 80s are a separate group, Generation Jiggle. Millennials be damned.

You're right, the traits that are supposed to be so great about each of these generations don't seem like particularly admirable traits, at all, just real life meme lords...

Indeed, the stereotypical traits of millenials and gen Z are nothing to be proud of. These people are literally the worst. I'm right at the beginning of millenial and fit in more with Gen X. The only difference is that I learned how to use a computer and other technology around the time I was 13. I was still using a hard-wired telephone until I was in high school and there were no smart phones then. There was no facebook or twitter and people were not little bitch-ass pussies getting upset over every little thing someone said.

Now...let me tell you how I REALLY feel.

I guess what happened to people like us is that we likely didn't follow the trends as much which is why we don't fit in anywhere.

That and I can bet you we were all expected to work and make something of ourselves, not being handed things just for showing up.

Never once earned a gold star or a participatory medal...:(

I actually got yelled at for wanting to quit softball lol
That'll teach you! You get out in that field and stand around waiting for something to happen right now! If we get enough things happening we get a trophy! Only quitters quit, and quitters never win, so no quitting for you! How dare you think you can make a decision for yourself! Your life, like softball, is a team sport!

To be honest, I'm not even sure what the descriptors for these terms are outside of like, these groups were born then. I don't know what the typical traits associated with them are, but it 100% makes sense to me that neither of them are positive. Literally the only time I hear anyone using terms like these are to complain about them. It's always some tirade about how they're the problem with the country or something. From my ignorant perspective, these labels seem to exist mostly as an easy shorthand to insult stuff they don't like. There's probably more to it but on social media you just get the vitriol.

Funny story, my cousin's mom was the coach and I was scared of her. So scared that when I had to pee, I chose to piss myself in the outfield rather than ask her if I could use the bathroom because I didn't want to get yelled at or have her mad at me. lol

That's terrifying that you had to feel that way, was she one of those way-too-enthusiastic about young girls softball matches type of coaches, or just mean in general? Sounds like someone that should not be around kids, honestly!

She was very abusive to my cousin. Give you a few examples... She punched her in the face and busted her lip and tried running her over with her car. This happened when she was in her teens, prior to this she'd get very loud, throw things, and slap her around. My mother was stupid for letting me go around her.

That's child abuse, she absolutely needs to never be around kids, or was it just girls she was abusive around? Whatever, needs to just never be around kids at all.

I'd like to introduce her to my size 13.

She was a school bus driver for a while... Goes to show how well they screen people for jobs like that.

She was only ever abusive to my cousin but she did grab my brother once and my mom was pissed about it. Still let me go around her though. Lovely parenting.

Sadly, this was the least of the abuse my cousin suffered. Her father was a pedo and sexually assaulted her when she was 11. She didn't tell me about it until she was 19. He got behind her in bed and jacked off. She thought it was normal. Had her and her stepsister with another girl butt naked in his house when they were all 15 as well. Again, though this was normal. No surprised she ended up stripping at 17. The girl is a mess. I stopped talking to her 10 years ago. I feel bad for everything that happened but she was a horrible, horrible friend and a nasty person. This is what abuse does though.
