SPOILERS WARNING: This entire thread will be rife with spoilers. If you haven't seen all of Super up to the end of the Tournament of Power, don't read this thread.
The show has its moments, but between them are faults that I can't ignore.
Starting out with the movie arcs wasn't a great start. But that's a minor complaint.
#1: Trunks' plot armor in the Zamasu arc is egregious.
I'm supposed to watch a character who is supposed to be literally 1,000 times weaker than Zamasu and yet, not once, but TWICE he fights him toe-to-toe... and then swallow it without an explanation.
Nah. I can't swallow that. That's BS.
To make matters worse, he uses the "Spirit Bomb" for no reason other than... idk, because Toriyama and TOEI said so?
I mean, Goku did magically learn mind-reading on Namek and Cell magically learned Instant Transmission and I could barely stomach that, but this is too much.
#2: The other Saiyans using the "Tingly feeling in your back" to cheese through the SSJ transformations.
It takes the already established mythos of SSJ and pisses all over it.
It was hard enough to stomach Gotenks cheesing it, but this is even worse.
#3: I just don't like Broly... for a LOT of reasons
Kale turning LSSJ made me cringe.
To make matters worse, Broly is canon now.
Now I have to put up with his annoying fanboys ranting like 8 year olds about how he has unlimited power and is stronger than anyone and now I can't just brush him off as a non-canon gag, cause he's canon... he's a thing now.
#4: Hit is just a lame character.
They set him up so much to be Goku's next rival, only to discard him in the Tournament of Power like that corner of the toilet paper you didn't mean to rip off.
The whole "Oh no, he's getting stronger as he fights" thing was so much cringe.
#5: SSJ Transformations are a dead horse.
Now we got SSJG, SSJB, SSJVB, SSJR, LSSJ, and Ultra Instinct might as well be SSJ4.
So now I'll list the things I actually liked about Super.
1. Beerus is awesome.
2. Jiren is awesome.
3. Goku mixing Kaioken with SSJ was long anticipated and satisfying once it happened.
That's... about it.
