Well, in the sense that they've been in the 90s and 80s, yes, but in terms of being "cool," absolutely not.
Yikes. I always thought you guys got a break out that way at night but I guess not in the summer months. Someone needs to turn on the world's AC for a bit.
It would be lovely if we did get a break in the night hours, but nope, it's still pretty hot. I know some parts of AZ do drop quite a bit, and I think other "hot" states that are mostly desert get that, too, but for whatever reason here in the Phoenix area it's just hot. Non-stop hot.
Yeah, that is probably why I thought all areas got that way. Just like people assuming it never snows in Texas or Florida but it does, just not very often and more up north.
Oh yeah, absolutely. If Phoenix would drop right down like some of those other places do it would be lovely, you could actually do things in the evening hours other than sweat, but nope, solid heat right the way through. I do remember the snow in Texas, it was the best part of the year. No one knew how to drive on the roads, so you'd see cars just sliding everywhere, and in parking lots you'd have people with no idea how to do cold weather just sliding on the ice. Great fun! 
It's still hot as hell here, but for the first time the skies are darkened as we can now see the smoke from at least 1 of the wildfires burning here.
...and let's make it better by throwing up the forecast for the next few days, because this is going to help those fires!
