I understand that totally, you run the risk of entrusting someone with something private or letting someone know how you feel about something and you have no idea if they're going to run and tell everyone you know or flat out dump you from their lives over an opinion or a feeling, and that's hard to take. Here, irrespective of how well we actually know one another, we can be pretty open about those things because even if we disagree with one another, it's not like we're going to take it personally, or run and tell people in each others' personal lives, because...well...we don't know them! We just disagree, move on and start joking with one another in the next thread. I like that in a good community, it's a sign everyone's mature and respectful.

Might as well keep going with my whole "and here's another part of my life I'll share with you all" saga. I have pretty bad legs, so much so that I've had a fair few operations on them in the past few months to shut down some of the veins in my legs to stop swelling, pain and recurrent infections. Guess what I just had done? Go on, guess! Give up? K, fine, it was yet another surgery...so I get the awesome post-operative swelling, sexy leg bandages, and a lovely hobble added to my gait for a few days. NOICE! Fourth surgery on this particular leg in the past couple of months, still more to go...yay? Here's my swollen leg in bandages! What's that? You don't know why I'm single, either?!? It's a real stumper, isn't it? ;) Bonus: peep that sexy big toe with the toenail that was surgically permanently removed. Ruined my foot modelling career...

Thus concludes another episode in the woe is me files of one Super Kami Guru, drive thru specialist and everyone elses medical history rolled into one.

At least you stay positive and make light of things. I would be in such a bad state with all that stuff. I'm too much of a hypochondriac.
 
As for me...

I slept maybe 5 hours if that of broken sleep. My eyes burn, my head hurts... And I have to stay awake until 11PM. No naps.

I stay positive about some things too... For example, if it weren't for these masks, we would be more sick in general, not just from Corona.

I used to the be the same, and I got myself into some serious levels of depression because of it. It took a lot to get away from that line of thinking, but I had to for my own sanity. You've got to turn it into a joke and just roll with it or life is just never going to be fun. There's so much bad we go through (and everyone does, we've all got our things going on) that it's hard to not get down. Only way to counter that -- be over the top about other things...and we all know what "other things" I enjoy going over the top about :D.

Isn't it so much fun being bleary eyed and feeling like you're constantly on the verge of dropping off, so you have to force yourself to keep doing things and thinking about things so you don't have time to nod off? It's just SO MUCH FUN!

The mother f*ckin' mother board in my less than three year old PC took a mother f*ckin' shit on me! At first I thought it might be the power supply, but the other hardware was getting power. So I took it to have it looked at and just in case it was the CPU. It would cost me, but easy enough swap. NOPE! It's the mother board. So, given the time of year it is with sales I just might buy a new build and salvage that one as a back-up. In the meantime I snagged a lap top so my wife could telework from home and not have to drag her carcass to the office unnecessarily. Aren't I a good husband? :sneaky:

That's such a shitty thing to have happen. Hopefully there are some good deals and you can get a decent build or even just a replacement mobo for the short term.

And yes, that's quite the honey do pickup to score a few points :D

I think it's still going to be a thing, since nothing really needs to change about cyber monday, but honestly, who knows with 2020 being what it is.

Yep, and Amazon will fair ridiculously well again this time around, I'm sure. Those flash sales sell out near instantly in normal years, so this year when everyone's laser-focused on the internet, it'll be impossible to grab just about anything they put on flash sale.
