Even though Chi Chi is weaker, she can intimidate the pants off a man. Just ask Goku.
Poor guy gets to live in fear any time he goes home that he's going to have to journey deep into the coldest, darkest regions of the coldest, darkest woman ever to walk the face of the earth. Or else.
She should be glad she wasn't asking for another kid at this point... LOL
So I have recently started watching the series over again. Just finished seasons 1 and 2. Now I have just started season 3.
I can't stand Chi-Chi at all. I know a few folks who like her but I just don't get it. Maybe she was supposed to be comedic, but she's just awful. Bulma can be a bit much at times, I love Bulma a lot better than Chi-Chi. I also tend to believe, Bulma is the better mom. To be fair though, I never really liked Chi-Chi.

I had no idea he felt that way. I knew he hated Vegeta (and I love Vegeta) but I didn't know he hated Chi-Chi.
I think he disliked Vegeta because he was popular enough for fans to want him to survive in the Saiyan Arc and to be revived on Namek against his wishes, but I think he also liked that he made it easier for villains to power up or be revived in the case of Boo.
I actually think Chi Chi being a shrew and surpassing Saiyan anger makes her comical. That Goku is afraid of her on a level not any threat he faces from Raditz to Jiren makes me laugh, “happy wife, happy life.”
To be fair to Chi Chi, Goku is often going off to train and neglects his family, granted its often to save Earth, the Galaxy or Universes, which means to save Chi Chi and Family by extension. But even though he has a good reason for prioritizing training, Chi Chi I think gets resentful he is gone a lot; reminds me of military couples, they know and accept the one overseas is serving, but it can be hard they are gone a lot.
