Dragon Ball has seemed to get even more attention after Toriyama’s death I noticed.
I keep randomly just crying. Sobbed myself to sleep, woke up and started crying. Standard me grieving things. It still hurts.
Jay went and got a new kitten to help keep my mind busy.
The new boy is hiding in one of the cat tree huts. He is smol. Jay named him Teddy.
Had a hard time going to bed again.
I realized last night it had been 10 years I have had a cat sleeping with me in bed every night. Joey for 4 years and Brock for 6. Not long enough for either

It's tough... Hope time eases your feelings. He was a loved cat so you both did the best you could, I bet he enjoyed his stay with such care and affection you must have.Had a hard time going to bed again.

I got him after my other cat Joey passed away. Joey was an older cat I took in off the streets. He slept with me every night. Brock did the same from day one. Just having him there at night helped me so much. He also helped me when I lost my Twig to cancer a few years ago. He would hug me when I was crying. We got Yuki after his passing and I do love him, but Brock was what helped me the most with Twig's passing. Fry and Yuki are snuggly but they don't sleep in the bed at night. I think it is because they knew that was Brock's place. I am hoping the new little guy warms up to me and eventually sleeps in bed. I am just so used to having my arms wrapped around a cat that it hurts not having one there.
If we actually had more space and were already in our own house, I would have adopted an adult because I would know the sort of personality I would be getting and I found one that looks and sounds so much like Brock I started sobbing when I read his story. He is FIV+ too. I feel so bad for cats like this because I know their odds of adoption are much lower. Even though he has special care guidelines (needing dental every year) I would have gotten him. It just sucks we aren't in a better position because of the economy.

I was worried about Teddy and the boys becoming friends, they are all friends now. No more hissing and Teddy gives them hugs. They were all playing earlier like crazy. Took them about 48 hours total. No separation either. I know they say to do a slow intro but I was not worried about Fry or Yuki hurting him. Was just worried they wouldn't actually be welcoming.
Teddy is still afraid of Yuki but he has warmed up a lot to Fry. They are snuggling in the play tent Jay got Teddy.
The little guy is doing good. He sleeps next to me every night and is on our sleep schedule so he doesn't wake us up.
Jay picked up Brock's ashes yesterday and I cleaned off a shelf for them by Twiggy's earlier and I keep crying now. It isn't as bad as I was the first few days at least. It still hurts a lot. I just wish there was more we could have done for him. I wanted him to at least have a full life even if we had to do medication and give him extra care for several more years.
Jay also got me a small needle felted figure of Brock. A woman in Ukraine makes them. He will be here in a few weeks. I will be keeping him by his ashes.
