We will see. I mean the ending they did was good. The original cast is back at least and it won't be on Wokeflix.
If it's true to the real Futurama and not just some fanservice nonsense, then yay. Otherwise...please don't ruin this masterpiece!
Bender was an amazing character. I think everyone here can agree with that.
Bender will still be in it regardless. I assume JDM is just using this as an opportunity to negotiate higher pay.
Bender with a different voice actor isn't going to be Bender. Give the man what he wants!
Futurama is one of my favourite shows ever, but I'd say at best I'm cautiously optimistic about this. The Comedy Central season had some genuine highlights (Game of Tones & Meanwhile for example) but there were also several series low points (In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela stands out) and most of the episodes were just kind of meh. I'm not sure how much faith I have in this churning out consistently strong episodes, feels like they're just further diluting the series over quality. But I guess if we get anything as good as "Luck of the Fryish", I won't be complaining.
Have not watched it yet. I will report back when I do.
It is better for it to be passively entertaining than a huge spit in the face of the original series I suppose.
There are, naturally, a lot of jokes at the expense of cancellations and reboots.
