He died of positional asphyxiation from being prone in a restrained position for too long. It's why after you handcuff someone you at least roll them on to their side in a recovery position unless they pose a threat like still being combative. Your body can give out on your from all your weight pressing on your diaphragm and internal organs. Don't get me wrong, just because the autopsy shows he didn't suffocate via strangulation that the ex-officer isn't culpable in his death. He is most certainly a contributing factor to what occurred. Makes a lot more sense why they went with 3rd degree murder and a secondary charge of manslaughter. They had this information before we did.
You're entitled to your opinion. Remember your words when they start assassinating police officers like they did after Ferguson. I'll make sure to condemn it and morally posture for you.

And I guess the protestors are getting out of hand in Cleveland now. I wish people could use their words to get points across. And I know the whole argument "the riot is a result of no one listening" but plenty have, you won't be able to change everyone's minds. Actions speak louder than words and that is the problem. These riots aren't sending any good messages. They are just causing more of a divide and more damage.
I guess there are groups of people randomly stopping cars, cars regular people are driving and bashing their windows in. What is this supposed to show someone? How the hell is this kind of behavior justifiable? I just don't get it. A man lost his life so you bash an innocent man or woman's car windows in to show them you're angry. You are just showing people you are an inconsiderate asshole that needs to be locked up.
That is a fair judgment call. There are protestors out there who likely aren't taking any part in this but thanks to their actions (those rioting), all of them are being labeled as thugs and roped into it. It is just a shame. People have every right to protest but the ones who are rioting and getting violent are not only taking away from the message here but they are acting for themselves. Anger is a selfish emotion and only serves one person. This is people taking advantage of the situation for their own personal gain. People destroying cars and buildings, stealing goods from shops and restaurants and acting stupidly. It's not what the actual protests or protestors are about, and just like one bad officer giving police a bad reputation, a fair few bad people are right there giving the protestors a bad name. Stealing, looting, vandalizing, assaulting...that's not going to help anyone or get a point across, that's just petty theft and destruction and I hope those doing it are caught and charged for it. Also, how many of the businesses that they've destroyed thus far are owned by single families, small business owners, even minority owners just looking to scrape by? Now they've got to pick up the pieces because of a few morons. Nice job!
It honestly scares me how people can flip a switch and become this barbaric. I hate how MSM feeds it as well. Stop giving these people attention. Focus on the protestors, not the lunatics who think they have a right to ruin other people's lives. I live in an area with a lot of gun owners so they wouldn't be wise to try this around these parts. At least in Ohio, if someone invades our property we have the right to shoot first and ask questions later. I hate that it has to come to this though. People who hate America should just leave.I just want people to see the ugliest side of this situation possible because it's going to turn into a nightmare before it gets better. One man very tragically lost his life. Now they're assassinating people wearing uniforms under the guise of retaliation. The gov't will respond and it will be heavy handy which will beget more violence. A lot of people are going to die just because ONE MAN was a fucking idiot, that being the ex-officer who has lost his life completely now. He's facing murder charges, hell, even his wife is leaving him. He has nothing and to that I shrug because you bear the consequences of your big boy decisions. Just know that this is going to turn far uglier than you can possibly imagine and it will be broadcast for the entire world to see. Think the Purge except it's not just one night. These aren't just angry black folks anymore. Antifa is using the riots as an excuse to create mayhem as well as other smaller domestic terrorist organizations. People are playing up The Joker and his creation of anarchy because they think it's fun to try and take down society. "Some men just want to watch the world burn." Tool up and stay safe because your neighborhood can be next.
That's exactly it. The people that are rioting are taking advantage of a bad situation just because they can. They're taking the message of the protest and making the whole group look bad and as though they have no idea what they're doing or who they're doing it for. If they'd step up and stop the people doing it before it gets bad and set an example, then maybe this wouldn't be escalating the way it is, but no, those who start it are getting bandwagoners to jump on board and it turns into the mass burning of buildings, the setting on fire of police stations, the looting of businesses, etc. It's sad, but lost in all of this is the actual message behind the protest. That is a fair judgment call.
