You're not far off...except AZ's kangaroos are actually Coyotes, and the koalas are actually roadrunners...oh and the ocean...but yeah, other than that, it's not far off.Arizona is America's Australia...change my mind

Here's a new one, the Central fire started up this morning near New River, AZ and has currently burned 100 acres and is 0% contained. Ugh.
Central Fire sparks Saturday near New River, 3,900+ acres with 0% containment
A new brush fire sparked Saturday morning near New River and has burned up to 1,800 acres with 0% containment as of Sunday.www.abc15.com
It depends on the size of the fire, but smaller ones that are contained quickly can be out in hours. If they get the chance to spread and become huge fires, then we're into the weeks, and possibly months range...How long do these usually last?
I wish there was an easier solution that was cheap. I hate to see people and wildlife run out of their homes because of these issues. It depends on the size of the fire, but smaller ones that are contained quickly can be out in hours. If they can get some out of state help with water bombers and such (not that AZ has a plethora of water sources to pull from) then there's a chance they could be contained faster, but as we're seeing, neighboring states are having their own issues with fires now, so...guess it's a longer time situation.
Agreed, but it's mostly unchecked brush and desert land just absolutely ripe for a fire. Then some idiot comes along with a cigarette or starts a fire pit for a late night get-together, or sits their boiling hot car on top of fickle, super-dry brush and then whoosh....fire. There'd have to be some sort of global sprinkler drones or something to get that out quickly!I wish there was an easier solution that was cheap. It seems to be people are the main issues with most of these fires starting. The fires earlier this year were supposedly started by protestors. The irony of that. I think laws need to be stricter in desert areas when it comes to fire. Like you can smoke but you need to have something on you to put it out, you can't just fling it. That is just common sense. When I was younger, my friend and I accidentally started a fire in this wooded area behind our school. We panicked but ever since it happened, I am SUPER careful around fire.Agreed, but it's mostly unchecked brush and desert land just absolutely ripe for a fire.
