She's currently napping on the futon in my office while I work. Make of that what you will.

We had a long talk, and I think we've both run out of tears. Pretty much we're going with being friends (which, talking, may look a lot like what we already did but dialled back a tad) while we work on ourselves emotionally and spiritually. I'm encouraging her to spend a lot of time praying instead of cutting and running, and I think she is seeing a lot more good she can still do here.

Basically we're both kind of hoping sometime down the track, whenever that is, that we'll be able to restart this but on a firmer foundation.

Yeahhhhhh. We've hung out a couple of times, and did a PT session this morning and had breakfast. So I mean, it's sort of normal. We're just working through what we can and seeing what happens.

So yeah, I don't know. It's going to take time, but I don't think it's going to be quite as bad as I was initially expecting... at least I hope not.

No, I meant with the same woman. I think she had a crush on me but I didn't reciprocate it back then. I'm mature enough to realize that I can date a woman who has stronger feelings toward me than I do toward her now, so I want to start over.

Ah, well if she's still single and interested, then approach her. Same thing applies, be open, explain you weren't ready before but you'd like to try now and see how it goes. When it comes to not having as strong feelings towards her as she does you, be careful, because she might be looking for a long term relationship or even more, and if you're not all in with her, then she could end up being hurt. So be careful, think of the needs of you and of her, and if it's something that can work, go for it!

Strike up conversation, if things go well (over a period of time), invite her to something that isn't a date-date like coffee or something.
